Hard To Follow What They’re Saying

One of the sweetest things in the world is listening to someone talk about something they’re so excited about that they can’t get the words out quick enough, tripping over them. One of the numerous things that dyspraxia effects is the speech, and people with severe dyspraxia often both have difficulty structuring what they’re saying and have unclear speech. This, combined with the slightly different way that Dyspraxic’s brains work can make it difficult to follow what they’re actually saying.
Tragically, a number of Dyspraxics respond to this by not really saying much at all. It’s an unfortunate reality that a large proportion of Dyspraxics grew up facing a lot of social challenges at school due to their disability, and the daily difficulties of a Dyspraxic’s life often lead to them facing depression and anxiety when they’re older.

Is Safe From Clumsiness

Living with someone who is actually clumsy is a bit different to the way they’re presented in films. If it can get knocked over, it will get knocked over. If it can be tripped up over, it will be. Sometimes it’s sweet, in a J-Law tripping up at an award’s ceremony kind of way, other times it’s a pain (spilling wine on a freshly cleaned carpet when you have guests over is never fun, and neither is following it up with knocking a tray of food flying).
Just to make it worse, they tend to be messy people, so tend to create a lot of the clutter that they later trip up over

Never Have IT Problems Again

Most people with Dyspraxia grow up using computers a lot to help make up for the fact that writing is particularly difficult. As a result, chances are they’ve already encountered just about every IT problem you ever have, and already know how to fix it. Better yet, they’re normally happy to help.
A huge number of Dyspraxics go into IT/programming specifically because of this, and the strong problem solving skills that most Dyspraxics have.

Put Something Down, It’s Gone Forever

This can be the must frustrating thing ever. A common problem Dyspraxics face is that they lose stuff very easily, putting them down somewhere and then forgetting where they’ve left it. Car keys behind the router, phones left at work, debit cards under the bed – they’ll forever be losing things and you’ll forever be finding them in the last place you’d think to look.
Whilst most of the time this is just an annoyance, it can actually present huge problems – losing a credit or debit card when you need it most, or getting stuck somewhere because they’ve lost their car keys,

They Do Clean Themselves Up, It’s Even Sweeter

For most people, putting on some nice clothes and dressing to impress isn’t really that big of a deal. But if you’re dating a Dyspraxic, polishing themselves up is genuinely one of the sweetest things they can do. Why? Well, if they’re a guy then being cleanly shaven, dealing with ties (or god forbid, bowties), fiddly shoelaces, uncomfortable trousers and restricting shirts is an absolute nightmare.
If they’re a girl then it’s even worse – shaving, makeup and getting your hair done is no easy feat for most people, but for a woman with dyspraxia it’s an absolutely terrifying prospect.

Won’t Be Able To See What’s Wrong

roning is something that most people eventually come to terms with, even if they never grow to love it. For a Dyspraxic who still has difficulty tying their shoelaces and to whom ties are just a mystery, ironing is reserved for special occasions. For day to day clothes, just hanging them up in the wardrobe for a while will do. Sounds lazy, but for a lot of Dyspraxics no matter how often they might try, ironing is just one of those things they never get the hang of.

They Have Food, It WILL Get On Them

When films want to show that a character is a bit scruffy or having a bad day, they’ll often make them a clumsy, messy eater squirting sauce down themselves or getting goop on their face. It’s presented as something to be pitied or laughed at.
If you’re dating a Dyspraxic, expect watching them drop whatever they’re eating down themselves to become a regular occurrence. They don’t mean to, you can see it about to happen seconds before it does, and there’s a good chance they won’t even notice it.

WWI Submarine Washed Ashore In Hasting

This U-118 submarine was washed up in the East Sussex town of Hastings.
The general public must have been absolutely flabbergasted by the sight of a war vessel washing up on their local beach.

Hitler Observes The Heavy Gustav

In this beautiful over-the-shoulder picture, Hitler and his men inspect The Heavy Gustav, which is the largest-caliber rifle weapon ever used in combat.
This gargantuan weapon is terrifying just to look at, let alone to face in war.

Probe

One of the ways we like to explore the universe is via space probe.
Some of these explore planets, some check out comet and the Voyager 1 probe has even left the solar system entirely.
Sometimes we even attach plaques to them bearing messages to the stars like some kind of intergalactic business card. The Pioneer Plaque depicts simple drawings of the human forms in all their naked glory, and the rough position of our solar system and planet using 14 pulsars as a frame of reference.
The golden record on the Voyager 1 craft has similar etchings, but also includes a collection of golden phonograph records that contain the sounds of humanity, including music, greetings in multiple languages and over 90 minutes of music from various cultures. It also has photographs of Earth and images of humans doing things like eating, breastfeeding, shopping and going on spacewalks.
If we’re lucky, these might be found by another intelligent race one day. If we’re very, verylucky, we might find one of theirs.
Our probes and the messages that they carry are relatively primitive in the grand scheme of things. However, there’s a possibility that an advanced race might have sent out self-replicating probes, capable of exploring the galaxy.

Radio Signals

This is the one we’ve been rooting for for quite some time now.
Thanks to the plethora of radio telescopes around the world, the Earth currently has literally hundreds of ears pointed at the heavens, listening out for, amongst other things, signals from ET.
There have been a fair few flurries of excitement in this department so far, from the Wow! signal (which is now thought to be the result of a passing comet) to the LGM signal (which turned out to be a pulsar).
Particularly mysterious at the moment are a type of radio signal known as FRBs, or Fast Radio Bursts.
These are extremely fast, extremely energetic bursts of radio waves that appear to be originating from outside the galaxy. At least five of the sources of FRBs appear to be evenly spaced from the Earth and ten of them have dispersions that are all multiples of the same number (187.5), not exactly conclusive, but certainly a bit odd.
They’re originating about 3 billion light years away, and we so far have no idea what is causing them. Although there was an incident back in 2010 when scientists discovered that the origin of one of their signals was, in fact, a microwave oven in the breakroom. Oops.

Finally Prove Aliens Exist

Humans have always looked up at the sky and imagined the beings that might live there.
We used to look for gods, but now many people have fixed their sights firmly on extraterrestrials. Despite the numerous accounts of sightings and abductions, we’ve so far been unable to produce any scientifically verifiable evidence of contact, so it looks a bit like wishful thinking at the moment.
As technology develops, however, we’ve come up with newer and better ways to look for the little green men. From scanning the skies for the faintest radio signal, to analysing the the actual atmospheres of distant exoplanets, we’re desperate for a message from the stars.
As we get better at knowing what to look for, the chances of us discovering some friendly (or not-so-friendly) neighbours get ever higher.

Sumerian Civilisation

The Sumerian Civilisation existed in around 4,500 BC in the area of modern day Iraq. The Sumerians invented highly advanced methods of farming and also developed complex systems of writing and mathematics. They were highly advanced and possessed a vast knowledge of astronomy and the solar system. One ancient Sumerian tablet discovered by archeologists lists earth as being the seventh planet from the edge of the Solar system, a fact that is true if Pluto is included in the count.

Aboriginal Wandjina

Aboriginal mythology tells of spirits named the Wandjina who came from the sky and created the Earth and its inhabitants. Depictions of these spirits have survived in the form of ancient rock paintings that show the Wandjina as having ghostly white faces with large black eyes. Carbon dating places the Wandjina cave paintings at around 50,000 years old.
Although the stories of the Wandjina are widely accepted as not being based in fact, UFOlogists like to point out the similarities between that the paintings and the descriptions of Greys given by alien abductees. Greys are an alleged extraterrestrial race who are said to be responsible for as many as forty percent of all reported alien abductions in the United States of America meaning that they have quite some credence among

THE Vimanas

Vimana are a type of ancient flying craft said to possess lights and powerful weapons that appear in Hindu texts and Sanskrit epics. The crafts are described as flying chariots used by gods and demons for transportation around the skies. Many accounts of the Vimana exist and the descriptions bare many similarities to the image of spacecraft we see today in science fiction films. An account in the Sanskrit Samarangana Sutradhara says that the Vimana were constructed using light materials and that they had mercury fuelled engines that allowed them to fly.
